Out of all the rooms of your house bathrooms ranks last in your weekend cleaning list. You may find your shower stall to be the grimiest part of your bathroom. Cleaning the shower enclosures is the most tedious job.
Here are few simple tips which would make your shower stall cleaning job easy.
- After every shower whip the shower walls with a towel. This would keep away the mildew from your shower enclosure.
- It is advisable for you to spray mildew inhibitor and disinfectant after a regular period of time.
- Before leaving the stall don’t forget to keep its door slightly open. This would allow circulation of air and restrict the growth of mildew.
- With the help of white vinegar and water solution you can easily remove the hard-water deposits in the shower stall.
- To make your glass shower door sparkling clean, whip them with white vinegar dipped sponge.
- To clean soap scum from the shower stall door spray a solution of mineral oil and water mixed in 1:4 ratio and whip it off with a sponge.
- Lemon oil is highly effective in removing water spots from the metal frames around the enclosures.
- In case of any caulking you need to repair it immediately to avoid water damage.
- For thorough cleaning of the tile walls first run the hottest shower water. Then with the help of sponge mop and mixture of 1 cup of clear ammonia, ½ cup of vinegar, ¼ cup of baking soda and 1 gallon of water clean the tile walls. Don’t forget to rinse with water after cleaning.
- To avoid water spots and soap scum buildups on your tile walls get them furniture polished.
- To clean the mineral deposits from your shower head, remove it and soak it in vinegar. Then with the help of an old toothbrush remove the deposit.
