An electric shower heats the water as it flows towards the shower head –to produce a hot water shower.

A electric shower heater heats up the water quickly as it flows out of the shower head. You do not even have to wait till the water is hot, you can have an instant hot shower. An electric shower is independent of a hot water supply and you can have hot water even when your water heater is not working.

Usually, a normal electric shower does not have a pump to increase the water pressure. In such case, you can opt for a pumped electric shower to get the required pressure.

Benefits of Using Electric Shower Heater:
In an electric heater, energy is used to increase the water temperature and to maintain it. But electric shower heater does not use extra power to maintain the hot temperature as the water is heated instantly.

When you use an electric shower heater, you would heat up only the required quantity of water. However, in the case of a electric shower heater, you would be heating large quantitiy of water , which you may not use.

After using an electric shower, it is important to switch it off. Hard water can result in mineral build-up in the shower and hence, it may need frequent cleaning.
