Bathroom Ceiling Fan: Keeps the Air Circulating

Most of us associate ceiling fans with bedroom or other rooms. But, did you know that a ceiling fan in bathroom can be helpful? A bathroom ceiling fan can keep the air circulating, remove moisture and can also get rid of the odor. In fact, there are many ceiling fans which are specifically designed for bathrooms.

Features of Bathroom Ceiling Fan:

The ceiling fan for bathroom has smaller blades when compared to the normal ones. 3-blade models are usually used. Buying a ceiling fan with speed adjustment is recommended. If you have a low ceiling, fans which are hugger types are also available.

Although an exhaust fan removes the moisture and odor, a ceiling fan in the bathroom does a better job in circulating the air. Warm air can accumulate in the bathroom and cause discomfort. A fan circulates fresh air, which is useful especially during summers.

When compared to other fans, the bathroom fan should be cleaned on a regular basis. This is because the dust and dirt can accumulate pretty quickly on the fan.

Uses:

A bathroom ceiling fan provides the following benefits:

  • Helps in air circulation
  • Prevents molds, mildew
  • Removes moisture
  • Prevents odor

While buying a ceiling fan for bathroom, make sure you choose a color which complements the bathroom tiles. The fan should be of light weight and smaller blade span. The fan should be installed in such a way that there is a minimum of 7 feet distance between the fan and the bathroom floor.
