There are numerous bathing oils depending on your skin, mood and even the country. A few of the main bathing oils include:
Floral Bath Oil
This floral oil is good for normal to dry skin and takes only five minutes to make at home. It can be made using Jojoba oil as the base oil because it does not need to be refrigerated and does not go rancid. Grapeseed oil makes a great base for massage oil because it is very light and leaves the skin soft, not greasy.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup jojoba oil
- 1/2 teaspoon essential oil of rose
- 1/2 teaspoon essential oil of lavender
- 1 teaspoon essential oil of geranium
- 1/4 teaspoon essential oil of ylang-ylang
Mix together and you have a wonderful potion to enrich your bathing experience!
Another way to have a nice bathing experience is to alternate using bubble baths and milk baths, while using bath oils and herbal baths, which are just as scented and relaxing.
A few among them which would give you this feeling are:
Citrus Soak
- This bath, with its hint of bubbles, and its citrus aroma, is excellent for winding down before bed.
- 2 Tea spoon of light safflower oil.
- 1/2 cup unscented pure castile shampoo.
- 4 drops lemon essential oil.
- 4 drops grapefruit essential oil.
- 4 drops lime essential oil.
You would have to mix the ingredients together in a stoppered bottle and leave the mixture for two or three days to blend. Once you are ready for your bath just shake the bottle slightly and pour one- third of the amount under the tap of running water and ejoy your bath with the lime scented aroma of the liquid!
Some other bath oils include Glorious Grenada Bath Oil suited and prepared in the carribean islands, Dancer’s soak and others.
