I am building a custom large sized steam shower for a customer of mine and my question is I have completely insulated all cavities and walls with insulation and then i installed a foam with reflective heat shield material over the entire walls, ceilings and benches and taped all joints gor a water barrier. After that I then installed Hardi backer on all walls, ceiling and benches. I also built and sloped a good mud and membrane shower pan.Do you think that that is adaquate enough to now start setting tiles on the walls and ceilings or do you think that I still need to coat all of the Hardi board with some sort of sealer before I styart tiling?
